Name:
Vivian Marie Valhalla
Nickname/Codename:
Viv or Val
Gender:
Female
Race:
Human
Age:
Thirty
Occupation:
Rebel Solider
Face Claim?
Anne Hathaway
Appearance:
Standing at around 5'7", VIvian doesn't really give off an intimidating appearance at first glance. She has long, dark brown hair that is usually tied up in a ponytail and piercing dark brown eyes. Running along her ribcage is a list of names and dates in white ink-almost invisible against her paled white skin. Specifically, they are names of the people she's lost in the rebellion and the day that they died. Vivian has an athletic build due to all the training that she and the other soldiers like her have to go through. On her right writst there is also the name 'Fiona' tattooed in a vine-style lettering. This tattoo is an added memory of her mother.
Personality:
Generally speaking, Vivian is a pretty down to earth person - even with everything that's going on. She prefers to take things as they come instead of planning ahead. After all, plans can easily get messed up and need changing. She doesn't let her emotions show as much as she used to, refusing to be seen as 'weak' by anyone. Vivian does have a bit of a temper on her but she bottles it up until it explodes on some poor, unsuspecting person. Towards those she cares about, Vivian is very protective and will give her life if it means they can live another day. All those names on her side are just daily reminders that she wasn't able to save them. It helps her to work harder, wanting to be able to save the next person- whomever that may be.
History
The year was 2444, and Vivian couldn't tell you the exact season or day of the week. Her parents, Fiona and William Valhalla, were soldiers of the rebellion. They had fallen in love against their better judgement and Vivian was, in every sense of the phrase, never meant to happen. Still, what could they do? They were a dying race and it would be senselessly cruel to deny life to an innocent being.Being that the solar system was in the midst of war, childbirth and adequately being prepared for it at this moment in time wasn't at the top of the list. Vivian was born in the hospital wing while her father and a group of others were out. William never returned and Fiona was left attempting to raise a baby by herself-though she did have help from a few others in the headquarters.
As soon as Vivian was old enough to walk and talk and understand properly, she was primarily left to her own devices as long as she didn't get in the way. She was taught to read and write and instructed in the way life was now compared to how it used to be. As Vivian grew older her interests were drawn more to the solider lifestyle. Her mother began teaching her how to use the various weapons they had available and hand to hand combat. At the age of eighteen she formally began training to be a rebel solider.
Her mother was killed when she was twenty-five, along with the rebel leader and countless others. Now Vivian spends every day working as hard as she can, hoping one day soon to avenge the death of her mother and the father she never knew. She also hopes that she lives long enough to see this war come to an end.

It had been almost seven years that he'd been working on this novel. Seven years! He had lost his almost-fiance over it, was probably going to lose his job at the amusement park eventually because he spent his time there working on it instead of actually working. After seven years, you would think he would be almost finished with it. Instead he was barely half way though. Multiple times over the course of a month he would write and rewrite the same chapter multiple times. Still, Alek was determined to finish the damn thing, no matter how long it took.
Alek's main probably was that he had too many ideas at once, and would try to incorporate every single thing. That's why he started taking the workshops at the university. Some of them were free, one day things, others were more extensive and a couple times he'd had to borrow money from William because being an amusement park attendant really wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. Still, Alek felt that they were helping him to focus more. It was after one of those workshops that he had, quite literally, run in to the red head that he was meeting today.
Over the past month or so Veronica had become a surprisingly good friend. He enjoyed looking at her artwork and knew that she would give an honest opinion on his writing. That's why he had called her yesterday to meet up with her today. He was pretty sure he finally got this chapter written perfectly. If Alek was a perfectionist at all with one thing, it would be his writing. Hence his need to rewrite each chapter several times until was just right. The Social wasn't a place he really frequented, but for meetings like this it was perfect. Alek also got a kick out of all the looks that people gave him because of his piercings. He had given up being self conscious years ago.
Grinning as Veronica made her way over, he waved back and chuckled when she got closer. He had arrived not too long ago, just missing the downpour. "Don't worry about it Ronnie." He assured her. "I just got her a few minutes ago myself. I'm glad you could make it, and of course. The waitress should be back any second." Alek nodded, sitting up a little straighter. "Speaking of class, how was it today?" Alek had never entertained the idea of actually going to a college or university for further schooling, he had no idea how people managed all that work. So he liked hearing about it now and then and since Veronica was going to the university, she was the perfect candidate to tell him.
